Phoenix wedding Photographer | Anna & Nick

The dust and clouds were rolling in and the showers were certain to come.  The looming monsoon had no effect on this beautiful backyard wedding.

I was welcomed at the home of Nick and Anna with big smiles and hugs.  With a schedule conflict I could only be there to shoot pre-ceremony portraits.  Anna was stun-ing to say the least.  She had not yet revealed herself to Nick...I was excited to catch this moment!

With such a tender moment, many tears were shed.  Her mom stood just behind me and I could hear her sniffles.  As I turned to capture her, with curlers in her hair she quickly dodged me...fair enough ;)

Once our eyes were dry, we stepped outside to capture some photos, as the sun had reappeared.  yay!

Can we just pause here a moment and enjoy the beauty of this dress!!  Anna mentioned that she did not need to have it tailored in any way...

"It just fit perfectly".

She holds him close.  See, he is a former marine and has re-enlisted to join the army.  He will be leaving soon.  Until then, don't let go.

It was time to let the bridal party in on the fun...

Enter the sweet boy...

Meanwhile, the house was set and ready for guests.

Beautful details finished the decor, the cake knife and bridal glasses were used at her parents wedding.

The sharing of the bread, salt and wine is an old Polish tradition. At the wedding reception, the parents of the bride and groom, greet the newly married couple with bread, which is lightly sprinkled with salt and a goblet of wine.

With the bread, the parents are hoping that their children will never hunger or be in need. With the salt, they are reminding the couple that their life may be difficult at times, and they must learn to cope with life's struggles. With the wine, they are hoping that the couple will never thirst and wish that they have a life of good health, and good cheer and share the company of many good friends.

The parents then kiss the newly married couple as a sign of welcome, unity and love.

And while most brides eat cake...I caught Anna with polish sausage ;)

my kinda girl!

I'll follow you anywhere.

Many blessings to you Anna and Nick <3
